Increase your computer's speed

Arent you fed up of your Windows PC taking too long for responding to an action???

As usual we provide you knowledge about features of the Windows OS that many of the computer users are not even aware of... Windows comes with an exciting feature called 'Virtual Memory'. When your RAM gets flooded with simultaneously open applications, windows lowers the load on the RAM by saving the data from the RAM in the secondary memory(Hard Drive) of your computer. Windows assigns Virtual Memory the primary(boot) partition of your computer, but you can increment and modify the number of drives containing virtual memory. To increase the performance of your computer considerably:
1) Right click on 'My Computer' and click on Properties

2) Click on the Advanced Tab
3) In the performance section click on settings
4)You will get to see the following window. In the performance options window click on the advanced tab
5) Then in the Virtual memory section click settings. The following window will appear

6) Set the Initial size of the virtual memory to double the size of your RAM and set the size of the Maximum size to double the size of your Initial size
You will notice a considerable improvement in your PC's performance. Just for your information the virtual memory data is saved in a file called 'pagefile.sys' which is inaccessible.
